ABOUT THE COMPANY
Aveng began its operations in construction project, but today they are one of the top infrastructure companies in the country with expertise in engineering, mining, steel, manufacturing, public infrastructure, concessions and water treatment.
Aveng’s main geographic markets are Southern Africa and Australia, although they are growing their presence in East Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The company has been around for over 125 years and currently employs around 16 000 people.
ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP
The Learnership programme will extend over a 12 month period whereby the student will gain invaluable knowledge and skills, as well as exposure to various types of work and the culture within Aveng.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Passed English in Matric
- Between 18 and 35 years old
- Interested in the field of study being advertising within the learnership programme
- From a previously disadvantaged group
- Reliable
- Well organized
- Highly self motivated
- Hard working
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of accuracy
- Able to work well within a team
- Customer focused
- Performance and results driven
*Preference will be given to disabled students
