Radio Internships Requirements

Each company will have their own requirements for their radio internships and it can usually be found with the application. Here are some of the basic requirements candidates may need but ensure you know what is needed from you before submitting the application.

  • Candidates must be unemployed South African citizens with a valid ID document
  • Candidates must not be older than 35 years
  • Candidates must hold a valid Matric, as well as a degree within their field
  • Candidates must have experience in research and writing
  • Candidates must not already have completed an internship with another company
  • Candidates must be proficient in English (Speak, Write & Read)
  • Candidates must work well independently, as well as part of a team
  • Candidates must be flexible, and willing to travel if required
  • Candidates must be eager to learn, energetic and an extrovert

Candidates with disabilities are urged to apply. Some companies offer a monthly stipend but they do not cover accommodation, meals and transport cost, thus, these are the responsibility of the candidate. Some companies may request candidates to do an aptitude test or other tests as is required.
